Accompanied by archival drawings and scrapbooking, the main photographs in Dwell seek to capture the ephemeral feeling of riding a suburban rail network in search of the perfect shot.

The results of Phil's time-pressured photography are an honest, rushed and often blurred set of images. In contrast to the continuous motion of a suburban rail network there are the pauses, delays, walking-pace shunts and dwells.
